Meanwhile, those of us who were born here knew the truth. We had a secret. Utah wasn’t boring — it was bursting with life. Over the last few years, that secret got out. People started moving here from California, Texas, New York, and beyond. License plates from every corner of the country filled our roads. And through all of this growth and change, one thought stuck with us: we were here first. We were born elevated.

Our brand name is a nod to Utah’s official slogan, Life Elevated. It’s true — our state literally sits at a higher elevation, but it’s also about more than altitude. To us, being Born Elevated means living with a higher mindset. Not in the sense of being “high” on anything, but being high on life itself.
Utah offers more in one day than most people get in a year. You can ski fresh powder in the morning, grab tacos downtown at lunch, and be in the desert under a blanket of stars by nightfall. That’s an elevated lifestyle. That’s what sets us apart.
But it’s not just about adventure. Being Born Elevated is about pride. Pride in our roots, pride in our community, and pride in representing Utah the way only Utahns can.
Why We Started Born Elevated
The idea for Born Elevated took root after the pandemic. We noticed the flood of newcomers and felt the shift happening in our state. Don’t get us wrong — growth isn’t a bad thing. But it also stirred something inside us. With so many new faces in the crowd, we wanted a way for Utahns — whether born here or raised here — to show who we are, where we come from, and what we stand for.
We drew inspiration from Maui Built, a brand in Hawaii that represents island locals with pride. Just like people in Maui wear that brand to celebrate being from the islands, we wanted Utahns to have something of their own. Something that says, this is our home, this is our way of life.
And so, Born Elevated was born.
